The AFTERNOON HANGOUT had an Interview with the Mayor of King cetshwayo District Municipality who is also the IFP KZN Chairperson and a Chairperson of the South African Local Government Association(SALGA). The interview was unpacking the Impact that the Association has on the community and how it assists students after Graduation.


MUT Housing registration will begin on the 25th of February. This year there are some changes to the registration process. To avoid an influx of students coming to the campus, different days have been allocated for different departments.

Mr Madlala, the Head of Residence speaks to Mpilwenhle Dlamini from the Afternoon Hangout about the procedure of housing residences.

Interview with Dr Sipho Ndlela

Afternoon Hangout is talking with Dr Sipho Ndlela, a former MUT Alumnus. He graduated from the Chemical Engineering graduate class of 1990. (PhD -Iowa State University). He is now residing in the United States of America. Working as a Principal System Engineer – O-ban-tar-la Corporation: Director, Co-Founder Alternative Energy for Afrika (AEFA Inc.), he discusses his life experiences as a former MUT student and what he has accomplished thus far.
