Namibia's legislative and policy framework for the protection of children

Namibia has, for many years, had a strong legislative and policy framework for the protection of children.

However, the levels at which children in Namibia are abused, violated, dehumanised, and neglected have become highly disturbing.

Against this background, the Ministry of Information and Communication Technology's Khomas Regional Office has hosted an event aimed at preventing gender-based violence and to make communities in the Khomas Region safer for girls and boys.

National Day of Peolpe With Disabilities

The 10th December is declared as the Human Rights Day, and the 2022 theme of Human Rights Day is "Dignity, Freedom, and Justice for All." Both the Declaration and WHO's Constitution assert that health is a fundamental human right for all people.

There can be no dignity, freedom and justice without health for all. therefore the National Federation of People with Disabilty in Namibia will be hosting the National Day of Peolpe With Disabilities.

The Windhoek City Police has clarified that it will only charge for extraordinary police services like events and providing escorts and motorcades.
