The cast of Thando PHLYs with Penny Lebyane

On PHLY 3 to 5 we were joined by Mpho Sebeng and Khayakazi Kula who are part of the cast of Thando which shines a light on the increasingly prevalent issues of teenage pregnancy, abortion, bullying, cyberbullying, colourism and teen suicide. It swept the board at the Idyllwild Cinema Festival, winning Best Director for Kagiso Modupe, Vanguard Award for Best Actress for Zikhona Bali, Best Feature Film and Best of Festival. ‘Thando’ has been making waves on the festival circuit for some time now. The film debuted at the Africa Rising International Film Festival.
