"The Problems Are The Supporters And Development"

Lyle Foster singing for Burnley Football Club in the English Championship has brought an immense amount of joy to Mzansi. Foster's deal, reportedly worth €10 million, will last for 4.5 years with the youngster hoping to help guide Burnley back into the English Premier League (EPL). Burnley has shown confidence in the 22-year-old and together they are hoping that goals will be aplenty.

Foster's move has also got Mzansi thinking: "Why do so few South Africans make it to Europe?" Many fans have suggested that the development structure in South Africa is not of a higher enough standard, and some have even suggested that the supporters are to blame, by saying "When players are in Europe, we flood their social media which puts pressure on the boys." South Africa will be watching Foster's movements closely with the hope of getting to see him in action, in the EPL.

On the latest episode of the Fan Reaction Show, Mzansi reacts to Lyle Foster making headway in Europe, by signing for English outfit Burnley FC. The fans have commented as to why so few South Africans 'make it to Europe and what issues need to be resolved for more local players to head abroad.

Will Chiefs Get Their Redemption?

Mamelodi Sundowns are a force to be reckoned with. They are a team in hot form and are deadly in front of goal. Defensively, they are an extremely tight unit. This is proven by their goal difference which sits at +27 after only conceding 6 and scoring a whopping 33. 4 of those goals came during their match against Kaizer Chiefs, which saw the Glamour Boys face humiliation.

Chiefs are going into this fixture with another 4-0 loss on their minds, this time at the hands of AmaZulu. Confidence levels will be wonky, but the desire to claim 3 points against the Brazilians is rife. Chiefs are welcoming Downs to the FNB stadium which might just be the difference in this matchup.

On the latest episode of the Fan Reaction Show, Mzansi debates whether or not Kaizer Chiefs will successfully redeem themselves against Mamelodi Sundowns, and questions about the possibility of Sundowns being stopped from winning the league title again are asked!

What does this mean for Blom, Chiefs and Bafana?

Towards the end of 2022, Kaizer Chiefs star Njabulo Blom handed out a bag of mixed emotions to Mzansi, by signing for Major League Soccer (MLS) outfit St. Louis City SC. The 23-year-old put pen to paper and signed a two-year contract that runs through the end of the 2024 MLS regular season with two option years in 2025 and 2026. Blom now joins a long, coveted list of respectable Africans who have featured in the MLS.

With Blom leaving the Premier Soccer League (PLS), Mzansi has conveyed expressions of excitement, relating to the growth the player will gain, frustration towards Chiefs - for not keeping him until the end of the season, and a sense of desire to bring in new talent angled towards Kaizer Chiefs.

On the latest episode of the Fan Reaction Show, Mzansi shares their opinions on former Kaizer Chiefs star Njabulo Blom and his move away from South Africa, to the MLS, and putting pen to paper to join St. Louise City SC.

Should Clubs Give Ageing Players A chance? Mzansi Answers!

With the PSL set to resume matches on December 30th, teams have had some time to filter their squads, analyze the players and decide on starting 11's and this has brought to the surface a big talking point that has always haunted the PSL. Aging players...

In recent days, former Bafana Bafana legend, Siphiwe Tshabalala, has admitted that finding a club after turning 30, is a difficult task. The 38-year-old is now in his second season without a club and many fans around Mzansi believe Shabba still has something to offer.

On the latest episode of the Fan Reaction Show, Mzansi has responded to the way PSL clubs handle aging players ever since Sipiwe 'Shabba' Tshabalala spoke about the difficulties one faces, after turning 30 years old.

Chiefs And Kappa Reunited!

The 2022 FIFA World Cup is well underway and there have been some amazing fixtures including African Nations. Ghana, Cameroon, and Senegal are really showing the world what the continent is made of and Tunisia and Morocco are making headway too. As of this moment, Senegal has already qualified and is awaiting to see if any other African nations will join them in the last 16. Fans have expressed the joy behind this world cup so far, with the African teams giving it all on the pitch.

Kaizer Chiefs and Kappa have joined forces once again, much to the delight of Khosi Nation. After almost 2 decades, Nike was no longer the front-runner for Chiefs. Kappa and Chiefs have a wonderful history, which brings back memories for the Amakhosi faithful.

On the latest episode of the Fan Reaction Show, Mzansi expressed joy behind Kaizer Chiefs' new deal with Kappa and how far will Africa go in the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

Should Overseas-Based Players Be Given A Chance? Mzansi Reacts!

Bafana Bafana recently locked horns with two African nations in friendly matches. The first fixture saw Bafana come from behind to defeat Mozambique 2-1, thanks to a 3-minute second-half brace by Bongokuhle Hlongwane. The second fixture against Angolo brought a different result. A penalty in the 29th minute by Zakhele Lepase was enough to seal a draw for Bafana. These results, although not too concerning, a topic of discussion as been raised by the fans - are overseas-based players being overlooked.

We, as a country, have a plethora of players who play in European, the America's and everywhere in between, but yet, not even a select handful get a chance to represent Bafana. The fans have expressed mixed feelings towards this, with one saying "We have to look if they are consistent, if they are, then they should be given a chance."

On the latest episode of the Fan Reaction Show, Mzansi has expressed their opinions on the topic of overseas-based players and how they are not given a chance to represent the country. Mzansi suggests that a fair chance should be given, considering the experience brought to the table!

Disallowed goals, new winners and questionable decisions?

The 2022 Carling Black Label Cup has come and gone, and brought with it immense excitement and disappointment! Unlike previous years, the 2022 edition had 4 participating teams. Orlando Pirates, Kaizer Chiefs, Mamelodi Sundowns, and AmaZulu, as voted by the fans.

In the weekend opener, Mamelodi Sundowns made light work of Amazulu, beating them 3-0, and Orlando Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs played out to a goalless draw before the Bucs progressed on penalties. This match was of course without controversy! This match saw both teams have a goal disallowed for offsides, but the controversy surrounds Chiefs as the player was onside, causing mass outrages amongst Khosi Nation. We are all human after all, but yet another mistake by a match official is causing the issue.

The final saw Sundowns take on Pirates, which was another bloodbath thanks to the 4 goals Masandawana put past Pirates, allowing Sundowns to claim their first CBL title. This now solidifies Sundowns’ dominance, as they claim a trophy that finishes their cabinet!

On the latest episode of the Fan Reaction Show, The Carling Black Label Cup has been trialed with its new 4-team format, Mamelodi Sundowns made light work of their opponents and a massive amount of controversy surrounds Chiefs and Pirates!

Pirates Lift The MTN8!

The MTN8 final has come and gone in a flash and the result has left one side of Soweto cheering and celebrating! The buccaneers proved to be too strong for Amazulu after Pirates began eating early in the first half thanks to a world-class free kick! Orlando Pirates managed to defend their lead for the rest of the game, allowing them to lift their second MTN8 trophy in a matter of 3 years!

Hugo Broos has announced his 30-man squad to take on Mozambique and Angola later this month. A few stalwarts have kept their place, but on the other hand, a few players, who are performing have been left out!

On the latest episode of the Fan Reaction Show, Mzansi reacts to the MTN8 final, which saw the Bugs emerge victorious and Hugh Broos has announced his 30-man squad with a few surprises and a few disappointments!

Kaizer Chiefs Fans React to Maart’s Moment of Brilliance!

Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates locked horns once again for the Soweto Derby, with both teams coming off a series of mixed results. Each having a decent run of form! With few wins and losses under their belt, this match would always bring excitement. A sold-out FND stadium was the venue of choice for battle; an occasion like none other.

The stats will show the Orlando Pirates have more of the ball and completed over 100 more passes than Chiefs, but the only stat that counts is the goal tally. A sensational strike by Chiefs’ midfielder Yusuf Maart from within his own half was enough to secure all 3 points for Amakhosi and a contender for the goal of the season.

On the latest episode of the Fan Reaction Show, Kaizer Chiefs supporters express their excitement after a wonderful Soweto derby win against Orland Pirates and celebrate one of the greatest goals in the history of the PSL, scored by Yusuf Maart!

Mzansi Reacts To MTN8 Semi-Finals!

The semi-finals of the MTN 8 have been completed finely. Kicking off the weekend; Mamelodi Sundowns hosted a motivated Orland Pirates outfit. The score going into this matchup was all square. Bugs youngster M.K Saleng was the standout, scoring two goals and downing Masandawana 3-0, Knocking the Brazilians out of the cup!

Kaizer Chiefs were looking to edge themselves closer to silverware after drawing the first leg with AmaZulu 1-1, in Soweto. Chiefs had it all to do but were dismal in front of the goal. The glamour boys had 11 shots but none went on target. The fans have once again cried out against Amakhosi and their striking abilities. One fan has even commented on the likes of new chiefs strike Bonfils-Caleb Bimenyimane saying ‘this boy can only score penalties’. Chiefs will have to look for silverware elsewhere and Arthur Zwane will be backing his team to look at the league. Considering the Soweto Derby is only days away, Chiefs have some work to do if they want to overcome their Soweto neighbours!

How Can Kaizer Chiefs Bounce Back?

The PSL continued this past weekend with only a handful of matches; three out of the four matches ended in draws, and Chippa United were the only team to acquire points - against Kaizer Chiefs. The match was fairly even when looking at the stats but an unfortunate own goal by Edmilson Dove took the points out of Chiefs' reach.

The own goal wasn't obvious, a deflected header, a ping-pong-like bounce was enough to beat Brandon Peterson at his left post. This was not the birthday Kaizer Motaung was hoping to have, but the MD would like to have his team bounce back

On the latest episode of the Fan Reaction Show, Khosi Nation has reacted to the 2-1 loss against Chippa United after an unfortunate own goal by Edmilson Dove, took the points away from Kaizer Chiefs.

“This Isn’t Fair!” - Khosi Nation

Kaizer Chiefs fans have had a rollercoaster of a week for a few reasons. It all started with a recurring issue, being the prices of tickets. It seems as if other teams are raising the price from R60 to R100 whenever Chiefs are in town. This is causing outrage among the fans with one saying "They are killing us..." Khosi Nations cries for the PSL to step in and regulate the prices of tickets have continued to go unheard. This is an issue that has been spoken about before by the fans, yet nothing has changed.

Continuing Khosi Nations rollercoaster, their new Burundian striker Bonfils-Caleb Bimenyimana netted an 11-minute hatrick, involving 3 penalties! This leaves the man with a total of 6 goals so far this season, joint first with Sundowns' Peter Shalulile. "He's started off well, but he needs to continue this form" says one fan on the Fan Reaction Show.

On the latest episode of the Fan Reaction Show, Khosi Nation has reacted to the price hike implemented to tickets to matches involving Chiefs. The Amakhosi faithful also have their say on newly signed Bonfils-Caleb Bimenyimana.
