Since the start of the Israeli offensive in Gaza in July, South Africans have resorted to boycotting Israeli goods and companies as a form of protest against Zionist occupation. On numerous interviews on VOC, the Boycott Divestment and Sanctions Campaign have called for a strategic boycott – naming three companies, Woolworths, Sodastream and G4S Security, in addition to all Israeli imported fresh produce. But on a daily basis, we get questions around whether consumers should boycott Coca Cola.
