Shopping mall robberies: analysis

Armed robberies, specifically targeted at retailers in shopping malls, are definitely on the increase and show know signs of abating, as we have seen in the media recently. Since September up until now, there have been about 15 reported incidents at shopping malls in Cape Town, the most recent being a fatal shooting of a security guard at the Waterstone Village shopping centre in Somerset West.
