Maties students petition for halal food

Muslim students at Stellenbosch have been struggling for a long time to acquire a range of halaal food outlets at campus. Last week, they were dealt with a blow when they heard that the only Halaal food shop in the student center was given notice to leave at the end of October 2014 by the centre’s management. Students are now launching a petition to university officials.
