As we know, it’s been a hard road for Mitchell’s Plain born Nizaam Carr but this week he made history as the first Muslim to be selected as part of the Springboks national team after rugby’s unification in 1994. And of course, the whole of Cape Town is rooting for him as he embarks on the Boks northern hemisphere tour this week.
