Is Shalulile Good Enough For Europe?

As the PSL heads towards the business end of the season, it is becoming more and more unlikely the log leaders Mamelodi Sundowns will be caught as they now hold a gap of 14 points. Second Placed Royal AM seems too far behind the Brazilians. Another aspect pot this season that seems unlikely is Peter Shalulile not receiving the Player of the Season Award. The Namibian striker has scored an impressive 21 goals so far this season, after securing a phenomenal record of 2 hatricks in back-to-back matches. The 28-year-old is well on track to overtake Collins Mbesuma’s record of 25 goals in a single season. The Sundowns man has been in fine form for a few seasons now and a question that has run through everyone’s mind, is why isn’t he in Europe? Some would say that the salary at Sundowns is too good to turn down, others would say that he is flourishing in South Africa, why would he play second fiddle in Europe? Ultimately, is he good enough for Europe? Being 28 years old, many European clubs would commit a risk analysis on the player, but maybe a move to North Africa is the right decision. Or he is where he is meant to be?
