For the first time in over 100 years, Manchester United lost their two opening matches of the season, first to Brighton which saw the Seagulls overcome Man Utd 4-1, and then Brentford put another 4 past the red devils. All eyes were fixated on Manchester United vs Liverpool; protests were occurring during the week building up and a result was needed. United boss Erik ten Hag made a bold call by not only benching club captain Harry Maguire but also 5-time Ballon d'Or winner Cristiano Ronaldo as Anthony Elanga, Jadon Sancho, and Marcus Rashford lead the attack.

The Red Devils were the better side on the day as they managed to grab their first points of the season, winning that match 2-1. CR7 wasn't missed much as the youngsters up front made life incredibly hard for Liverpool's defence!

On the latest episode of The International News Desk, Manchester United is the hot topic with rumours of CR7's future still up in the air. The Red Devils looked to be the better side against Liverpool and the PSG attacking trio butt heads!
