The City of Cape Town's mayco member for Health, Benedicta van Minnen recently rubbished news reports on the study by a Professor at UCT which claims that E-coli found at a popular Cape beach could be a threat to young children and people with immune deficiencies. She called these reports alarmist and sensational and that these findings was out of date. To tell us more, we have Professor Edda Weimann who did the study in the studio this morning.
