Coach Sackings, Title Charges and Audacious Decisions!

--:--
Chelsea FC has not had the most ideal season since they changed ownership. American business mogul Todd Boehly has pumped millions of pounds into bringing in players, who quite frankly, have been less than impressive. The likes of Enzo Fernandez, and Mykhailo Mudryk, to name a few, make up a net spend of close to £500 million spent since Boehly took over. The club has also gone through managerial changes like nobody's business. Sacking both Thomas Tuchel and Graham Potter within 7 months of each other goes to show that the issues at the club could very well be coming from above. Will Chelsea be able to turn their season around and how will they bounce back?

With the English Premier League heading into the business end of the season, the 2022/23 campaign is looking to be the most exciting yet. The battle for European football sees more than a handful of teams with many that have taken the world by surprise. Newcastle currently finds themselves in 3rd spot, with Brighton and Aston Villa making up spots 6 and 7. Liverpool is having a season to forget as the Reds see themselves in the 8th spot. Arsenal is edging ever closer to EPL glory but one cannot forget about Manchester City and the threat they could prove to be. There are also close to 10 teams, who can mathematically be relegated as there is only a 7-point difference between 20th-place Southhampton and 12th-placed Crystal Palace. The last 10 games of the 2022/23 English Premier League will be of vital importance for all teams!

On the latest episode of the International News Desk, former Mamelodi Sundowns and Sheffield Wednesday goalie Sean Roberts joins Soccer Laduma international news correspondent Kurt Buckerfield to discuss the remaining games of the 2022/23 EPL. The gents dive into the battle for glory and speak on the relegation battle that is currently unfolding. Sean and Kurt discuss the managerial vacancy which has opened up at Chelsea Fc which could see a surprise caretaker coach take over after Graham Potter was recently sacked.
