Change in One Generation with Ntsiki Biyela
--:--
Ntsiki Biyela changed the South African wine industry when she became the country’s first black female winemaker in the early 2000s. After enrolling at the University of Stellenbosch for a BSc in Agriculture (viticulture and oenology), the critically-acclaimed winemaker quickly realised that her journey to the vineyards was going to be a windy one, full of change and discomfort. She talks to Ruda and Dr Frank about the sometimes-harsh changes she’s had to adapt to along the way as well as the change she’s brought to an industry that lacks diversity.
