Kijabe Lodge and the Mauritian Kitchen

--:--
Kijabe Lodge offers homely, Colonial comfort in a beautiful tranquil setting. Nestled amongst lush coastal vegetation on a North Coast sugar cane farm, Kijabe offers magnificent views of the Indian Ocean and dolphins and whales can often be spotted playing and frolicking in the waves.

The ocean-facing, spacious patio is a favourite place to relax and enjoy the peace and tranquility of the lush garden with its prolific bird life. The swimming pool is available for guest to relax, have fun and soak up the sun. Braai and tea and coffee-making facilities are available throughout the day. Guests can also enjoy a leisurely walk around the farm and through the indigenous coastal forest to the private beach for a fishing trip.

Breathtaking views of the sun rising over the ocean await those who enjoy taking in the early morning air, and sumptuous picnics can be enjoyed in secluded spots around the gardens where guests can recline on soft, luxurious cushions and blankets.

Kijabe Lodge is an ideal retreat to relax and unwind, yet it is only a 25-minute drive from King Shaka International Airport and a 15-minute drive from Ballito Bay. Umfolozi and Hluhluwe Game Reserves are only a two-hour drive away, whilst the pristine beaches of the North Coast are within easy reach by car. In addition, the Zulu Battle Fields and the Ultimatum Tree are also only a short distance away.
