FreshSqueeze | Centre for Child Law warns schools about exclusions ahead of reopening

As the 2024 school calendar commences tomorrow, the Centre for Child Law has sent a reminder to all schools across the country about the Phakamisa judgment which provides that no child should be excluded from access to education based on lack of documentation and more specifically ID documents or Birth Certificates in cases where the learners are younger. Mpho Mashita and Complexion are joined by an Attorney at the Centre for Child Law, Stanley Malemetja to give more details on the law and what parents/guardians of children without ID's can do to get admission into schools.
