Loblaws is doing some back pedaling. A couple of weeks ago they announced that they would no longer be discounting perishable foods like meat, fruit, and vegetables by 50 per cent as they near their best-before date, but following protests and boycotts by their customers they've changed their minds. Dr. Sylvain Charlebois, a professor in food distribution and policy and scientific director of the Agri-Food Analytics Lab at Dalhousie University, joins Evan.
