Chief Inspector Joseph Kudumo worked as a personal assistant for the late President Dr. Hage Geingob.

In an interview with Aloys Mupiri, Kudumo said Dr. Geingob took him as a son and at some point paid for his medical bills with close to N$200 000 at a private hospital in Windhoek and that of his daughter in South Africa.
