he Briar Foundation, a non-profit founded in 2023 by Irene Oxley, is raising R300,000 for its 2025 Youth Entrepreneurial Showcase (YES) campaign through a Thundafund initiative. Partnering with a bank that will match funds raised, the foundation teaches entrepreneurial skills to youth, addressing the urgent need for entrepreneurial growth in South Africa.

Participants are selected via school interviews and gain insights into creating prototypes, marketing, budgeting, and developing business plans. The 2025 YES campaign will feature three workshops per school from February to April, with additional sessions throughout the year. Local entrepreneurs and financial experts will share insights on success and sustainability.
