GROW Model | Prayer and Fasting: Manipulating God?

Loading player...
Let’s be real—sometimes we fast not to draw closer to God, but to pressure Him. We turn it into a holy tantrum: “If I don’t eat, God has to answer.” But God isn’t moved by hunger; He’s moved by humility. Fasting doesn’t twist His arm—it breaks ours. It brings us to the end of our own strength so that we’re finally ready to receive His. When fasting is used to manipulate divine outcomes, it becomes no better than spiritual witchcraft disguised in Christian language.
