South Africa’s failing education system is having serious effects on the economy. Millions of young people finish school without the skills needed for work, contributing to high unemployment and underutilised talent. University dropouts mean fewer qualified graduates to drive innovation and economic growth. Without real improvements in education quality, the country risks a continued cycle of low skills, limited job opportunities, and slower economic progress.
