Homestead from Home – with Trish Wood

For years, friends have suggested that I turn what I do naturally, into a business. This is how the concept was born - Home(stead) from Home - Be our guest – we open our door, invite you in, and we treat you as we would good friends. We have so much to share. This history of the valley, our farm and Cape Dutch Homestead (dating back to 1743). Lots of anecdotes and tales. My family has been here since 1864. Much thought has gone into the experience, table settings, designing of individual menus, incorporating products with a South African story – in fact everything has a story.

The food is Cape inspired. We use tried and tested family recipes and incorporate food that was historically grown on the farm. We cook with heart. The experience is aimed at international guests. A minimum of 8 people and a maximum of 12. The experience is exclusive and all inclusive. It includes transport (pick-up and drop-off), a welcome drink and nibbles, a 3-course dinner, all refreshments and even some padkos for the road home.

We are looking for a tour operator to collaborate with, who has guests who would like to be welcomed into an authentic Cape Dutch home by a Cape family and experience warm, vibey Cape hospitality – and have the place all to themselves! We want guests to leave here enriched, satisfied and with a smile on their faces. Wednesday and Friday evening 18:30 to 22:30

Join us by listening to Trish wood from Homestead from Home (a real value especially since the food is Cape inspired)
