Montreux Jazz Festival Franschhoek
• First time in Africa
• 3 days of festivities – Friday and Saturday Arches stage and Jazz Village performances and on the Sunday, the village transforms into the Sunday Slowdown with a number of offerings including some pop-up performances – lots for the public to see and do throughout the weekend.
• Hospitality offerings – based at Arches stage – Prelude, Crescendo lounge and the ultimate, the Adagio Terrace. (Day passes and/or weekend passes here).
• Jazz Village – ticketed per show.
• Artists will be announced on Wednesday 28th January.
Kingdom of Ubuntu
Elvis Sibeko production – completely new works – semi-staged concert at Artscape Opera House on 6 & 7 March. CPO, AfriArts Choir, Sibonelo Dance Project and for the first time, an indigenous orchestra led by Emeritus Professor Dizu Plaatjies – scholar, composer and Keeper of the Music in a work that is both ancient in spirit and urgent in message.

Meraki Dance Festival
• Presented by Jazzart Dance Theatre, this is an Expanded Two-Week Celebration of Dance and Storytelling and the 2nd annual Meraki Festival.
• Week one in the Arena
• Week two in the Artscape Theatre
• More than 10 dance companies will showcase a variety of contemporary dance pieces.
• Workshops and masterclasses – for dance groups and keen dancers to participate in
• The festival is for everyone and is growing year on year and is a wonderful way to escape into the imagination and an experience that will leave audiences lifted and spirits rejuvenated. So much dance talent in this country and it deserves support.
