In this wide-ranging interview, he speaks candidly about navigating the impact of COVID-19 on the SAWS’ bottom line, deadly weather catastrophes, a debilitating cyberattack that nearly resulted in a blackout of lifesaving weather services, difficult relations with a labour union and the SAWS’ place in the global meteorological community.
