: Incarnational Missions: Living Among the Lost | 1 Corinthians 9 & John 1
True biblical missions requires more than "helicoptering" into a community for quick photo opportunities; it calls for a life rooted deeply among the people we serve. In this Fantastic Friday episode with Rocky Stevenson Pastor of Benoni Bible Church, we examine how global mission fields are shifting—from historical sending nations to post-Christian Western societies in desperate need of the gospel. Looking at God’s ultimate design for ministry, we see that effective evangelism and church plant efforts rely on genuine, incarnational presence rather than distant, transactional programs.
Drawing from John 1:14 (LSB), where the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, we discover our foundational model for relational outreach and discipling. Furthermore, 1 Corinthians 9:19–23 (LSB) demonstrates how the Apostle Paul willingly surrendered his personal rights, becoming "all things to all men" to win souls for Christ. To faithfully fulfill the Great Commission in a rapidly changing world, believers must move past short-term approaches, pitch their tents among their neighbors, and embody the grace and truth of Jesus Christ through enduring, humble service.
Listen now to reflect on how God is calling you to live on mission right where you are.
