
Tiger Brands reel from listeriosis outbreak

Tiger Brands came out with results Thursday and those financials revealed just how much of an impact the listeriosis outbreak is having on the group's performance. Product recall and related costs to date amount to 365 million rand and this has weighed on profit, with headline earnings per share falling 16%. With the company stating that factories will have to remain closed in the second half of the year and a class action suit also on the agenda, we're joined by Tiger Brands CFO Noel Doyle for a look at the results and what lies ahead.
