News Leaders According to Lulaway 30% of youth abandon jobs within first 3-months South Africa's quarter one employment numbers showed that the country added 56,000 jobs in the first quarter of this year, bringing the total number of people employed in the formal, non-agricultural sector to 9.8m. But as we know, unemployment remains a tremendous challenge for this country. Youth unemployment in particular is a pressing issue, with more than half of the population aged 18 to 24 unemployed. Lulaway CEO, Jake Willis joined Business Day TV to discuss some research done by the company. Lulaway has placed more than 30,000 job seekers in employment and internship opportunities.
