Mantashe halts new petroleum licenses

Mineral Resources Minister, Gwede Mantashe has published a notice restricting applications for oil and gas exploration and development, this as his department makes changes to its licensing process - a move that is seen as pumping more uncertainty into the sector which is in need of much needed growth as it holds the key to the country's energy security challenges.
