The Al-Imdaad Foundation is preparing to spearhead an ambitious project to bake and feed pitta bread to two million internally displaced persons in Syria as of the December 11, 2013.Partnering with up to 35 bakeries in Syria, Al-Imdaad has delivered 1300 tonnes of flour to six Syrian regions, VOC journalist spoke to Project Coordinator of the Syrian Mission, Hafez Abdus Samad Moolla who said they launched the project at the Syrian border where they took 14 truckloads of flour to be distributed to different districts, sub districts and villages to various bakeries.
