There was robust debate on the challenges facing the South African hajj and umrah industry and the World Hajj and Umrah Convention held in Cape Town at the weekend. The conference was organised by Hajj People, a UK based market and research company. It drew a number of role-players from the local hajj and umrah fraternity. What stood out most, according to our reporter at the conference was that SAHUC's work as the Hajj regulator was in question.
