The annual meetings of the boards of Governors of the World Bank and IMF is underway in Washington where industry leaders are discussing issues of global concern. Uncertainty has been a major theme with regards to Brexit and the US China trade war and while a Brexit deal was struck today, hopes are still high for a truce to be reached in the trade war. The IMF has in the meantime made a fifth consecutive cut to its 2019 growth outlook citing the curbing impact of trade tensions on growth.
