A video showing a group of cyclists allegedly attacking a driver of a van in Sea Point yesterday has gone viral on social media. The video shows the cyclists hitting the man, who was double parked in Beach road. The man is said to be a volunteer who was cleaning up after the 10KM Sunshine D / Polar Ice cream Big Walk on Sunday. The cyclists have been identified as being from the Mohammadiyah cycling club. VOC News has attempted to get hold of the cycling club for comment, but the spokesperson was unavailable. VOC news editor Tasneem Adams spoke to Big Walk spokesperson Dr Elias Parker about the incident.
