In 2010, anti-eviction forces, the City Police and the SAPS went into Hangberg in Hout Bay to demolish people's homes. The South African Human Rights Commission informed the community that the Office of the Public Protector (OPP) has appointed an investigation into this matter. The ANCYL is disappointed that the OPP has failed to investigate the claims by Hangberg residents.
