--:--
Musa, Skittles, Mona and Onai are joined by the project coordinator for Pepeta Malawi, Tawonga Msowoya. In this show, the NOOGies navigate the conversation about "rape culture", sexual abuse and creation of safe spaces for women with Tawonga providing much needed clarity on subject. They touch on the definitions of rape and rape culture and try and answer why men are so silent about their peers perpetuating rape culture or being aggressors in sexual abuse. In this discussion, they touch on what men should be doing and break it down into new interesting buzz phrases. Could good guys also create unsafe spaces unknowingly, Onai speaks on an experience he was in that could answer that. In the second segment on the show, the team have a sober conversation about the new legislation on the lobola/dowry/bride price paying in Zimbabwe. They clarify what it means, technically and if it is the solution to the problems that have come from the commodifying of traditional cultures. In this podcast, they all give their opinion on whether they would want to have themselves, they partners or their children "lobolad" for and so much mre. This episode is the long side, so pace yourself... it is okay to take it in bit by bit..
