With South Africa’s high youth unemployment, Rosebank College took a strategic decision to address this issue by adopting employability as one of its core pillars. Mpho Mashita and DJ Complexion talk to Lillian who oversees the Graduate Empowerment Programme, ensuring that all IIE graduates from Rosebank College possess the skills and knowledge required by the modern World of Work. Since the inception of the Graduate Empowerment Programme, Lillian and her team have placed more than 12 000 graduates in first-time employment opportunities nationally, and the number continues to grow.
