Dentists have a role to play in fighting child abuse in the country. That’s according to an in-depth review of child abuse, which looks at the role of dentists in detecting, protecting and reporting such incidents. It was recently published in the South African Dental Association’s Journal. To tell us more about this review is Dr Nadia Mohamed, Department of Paediatric Dentistry at the University of the Western Cape.
