The social world and workplace often rewards extroverted behaviour because of the bias towards action rather than contemplation. However, if your personality tends more towards being an introvert, it can be challenging to navigate workplace environment.
When it comes to personality types most of us tend to lean toward either introversion or extroversion, according to how we gain energy and where we direct our attention. While activities and people energize extroverts, introverts need time to themselves to reflect and recharge. Introverts are drained of energy by interaction, and gain energy in solitude or quieter, more low-key environments.
