Disallowed goals, new winners and questionable decisions?

--:--
The 2022 Carling Black Label Cup has come and gone, and brought with it immense excitement and disappointment! Unlike previous years, the 2022 edition had 4 participating teams. Orlando Pirates, Kaizer Chiefs, Mamelodi Sundowns, and AmaZulu, as voted by the fans.

In the weekend opener, Mamelodi Sundowns made light work of Amazulu, beating them 3-0, and Orlando Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs played out to a goalless draw before the Bucs progressed on penalties. This match was of course without controversy! This match saw both teams have a goal disallowed for offsides, but the controversy surrounds Chiefs as the player was onside, causing mass outrages amongst Khosi Nation. We are all human after all, but yet another mistake by a match official is causing the issue.

The final saw Sundowns take on Pirates, which was another bloodbath thanks to the 4 goals Masandawana put past Pirates, allowing Sundowns to claim their first CBL title. This now solidifies Sundowns’ dominance, as they claim a trophy that finishes their cabinet!

On the latest episode of the Fan Reaction Show, The Carling Black Label Cup has been trialed with its new 4-team format, Mamelodi Sundowns made light work of their opponents and a massive amount of controversy surrounds Chiefs and Pirates!
