When Noluthando Khumalo from Zimbabwe first arrived in the building known as Usindiso Shelter for Women and Children in 2016, she was fleeing domestic violence from the father of her two children. This building, which she has seen morph into a dilapidated, rundown structure, was on Thursday ravaged by a fire which left over 70 people dead, among them a dozen children.
