Daily Thought | Verse: Psalm 42:5
‘Why are you downcast, O my soul? Why the unease within me? Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise Him for the salvation of His presence.’
In life it is easy to become discouraged and anxious.
But we have a strategy for when these emotions try to overwhelm us.
We stop, we speak to our souls, and we instruct our hearts to hope in God.
We have this promise that we will have reason again to praise Him.
Prayer: Lord, I choose to put my hope and confidence in You. I will not entertain discouragement, doubt and fear, but I will trust You with the full expectation that I will see Your goodness.
Amen.
