Award-nominated author Mark Winkler says by taking readers back to 1662, he tried to show how history has a way of repeating itself to some degree.

His novel, "The Errors of Dr Browne" is up for this years fiction prize at the Sunday Times literary awards in partnership with Exclusive Books.

Using the voice of Dr Thomas Browne , Winkler delves into one of the last witch trials in England , taking us back in time while putting present day issues under the floodlight.
