Angry parents protesting outside the Department of Education in Johannesburg have told MEC
Matome Chiloane to rather shutdown Tholimfundo primary school in Soweto.
The parents are complaining that since the school was built in 2001 in Protea Glen it is no longer maintained. They say promises to build phase 2 remain broken 23 years since the school started operating. In 2021 Kaya News reported that teachers at the school were forced to work in unsafe mobile classrooms. Chairperson of the school body at Tholimfundo Primary
school, Joe Mathibedi gives us an update.
