Uber for teens launched in South Africa

--:--
GUEST - Kagiso Khaole, GM, Uber Sub-Saharan Africa.

Uber has launched a new solution for South Africa in the form of Uber for teens.

The solution is available today locally, and should be accessible to all account holders in order to create a paired profile for those aged 13 to 17. It is accessible across the country, and is not simply limited to the major cities in SA, as it caters for smaller towns too.

As people may or may not know, creating an Uber account requires you to be 18 years of age or older, so Uber for teens specifically addresses the need for parents/guardians to give their children a level of independence when making use of the ridesharing platform.
