Dube TradeZone 2 sets stage for Economic Growth

Dube TradePort Corporation (DPTC) heralds the launch of Dube TradeZone 2, adjacent to King Shaka International Airport, with an impressive R1.8 billion in initial investments. This milestone signifies a cumulative private sector investment of R4.6 billion and the creation of over 5,000 permanent jobs.

Notable dignitaries, including government officials and business leaders, gathered for the inauguration, underscoring the significance of Special Economic Zones (SEZs) in fostering economic development. MEC Siboniso Duma highlighted SEZs' pivotal role in addressing socio-economic disparities.

Despite economic challenges, DPTC secured seven private investors, anticipating 600 new jobs within five years. Dube TradeZone 2 targets manufacturing, logistics, and automotive sectors, expanding opportunities for both local and international enterprises.
