GUEST – Mike Brown – Managing Director of etfSA
The South African Exchange Traded Product (ETP) industry report for the third quarter of this year just dropped.
Authored by the managing director of etfSA, Mike Brown, it stated that the total market capitalisation of the entire local ETP industry amounted to R205bn at the end of September 2024. This is an increase of 24% on the R165.4bn reported at the end of the same period last year.
‘The growth in the industry arose from R24,1bn in capital raised from the listing of additional ETP securities on the JSE during the first nine months of the year, as well as the rise in market values to date this year, the report said.
