The DA has submitted the first batch of over 200,000 signatures, on it's petition against Eskom's proposed 40% price hike, to NERSA. The DA protested outside NERSA's offices in Pretoria. The DA says it has been inundated with residents opposing the tariff hike, signing the petition to force NERSA to reject Eskom's application. The DA says it sees this as a powerful call from South Africans across the country for urgent action on the ongoing energy crisis.
