The effects of protests in Mozambique are being felt in South Africa, Zambia and Eswatini – as certification of the presidential election drags on more than two months after ballots were cast. Mozambique's government previously promised to do everything it could to minise disruption over the festive season, but opposition presidential candidate Venancio Mondlane has promised to cancel Christmas for the country's leaders.
