Every December, the choral ensemble VOX Cape Town presents a local adaptation of the famous Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols in which short Bible readings are interspersed with traditional Christmas hymns and carols. Since 2016, Fine Music Radio has broadcast a recording of the Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols on Christmas Eve, bringing this special musical celebration to a much wider audience. Here we share the broadcast from 2024, which culminated in a stunning smorgasbord of carols from around the world played by the Gqeberha-based Red Ochre Ensemble.
