Mention running to many people and they visibly cringe. When I started running I had no idea that in order to cover significant mileage comfortably you actually needed to keep your heart rate low from beginning to end, which is why it took me so many years to learn to enjoy running.
A couple of months ago I came across the Mindful Runners website I contacted Jurgen and began my journey of learning to slow down, become aware of my physiological responses to exercise and be mindful of building an acerbic foundation. With consistent practice and the right coaching, it is indeed possible to change a lifetime of un-resourceful training habits.
