Gunfire erupted in Crown Mines, Johannesburg, as five suspected cash-in-transit robbers were gunned down in a shootout with police. Gauteng Police Commissioner Tommy Mthombeni confirmed the suspects were linked to a string of CIT heists in KwaZulu-Natal and were being tracked in a joint operation led by crime intelligence.
