After years of broken promises and unsafe water, there’s fresh hope for Hammanskraal residents. The City of Tshwane says construction of the long-awaited Klipdrift Package Water Treatment Plant has now been technically completed a major milestone in the fight for clean, reliable drinking water. Mayor Nasiphi Moya has welcomed the progress, calling it a turning point for a community that has long relied on water tankers and bottled supplies. Officials caution that supply may fluctuate in the short term, but for many residents, this marks the closest they’ve come to turning on a tap without fear. Phemelo speaks to Tshwane Mayor Dr Nasiphi Moya.
